At the Falls Villa, Grand Falls, January 22, 2018, Mrs. Anne Marquis of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 87 years. She was the widow of Aurele Marquis. Born at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in 1930, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Anita (Desjardins) Ruest.
Mrs. Marquis was a member of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club.
She is survived by eight children, Gerald (Lyson Gagné) of St-Hubert, Quebec, Parise Mongeon (Michel) of Repentigny, Quebec, Mario (Robertine Murchison) and Jean (Francine Page) of Grand Falls, Jacqueline Beaulieu (Daniel) of Ottawa, Lisette Harding (friend Bob) of Grand Falls, Pierrette Diamond (George "Dino") of Saint-Leonard and Chantal D'Amico (Aldo) of Southborough, Massachusetts, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren plus one on the way, two sisters, Berthe Thibodeau of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska and Cecile Hilenski (George) of Bloomfield, Connecticut, one brother, Guy of Villa des Jardins of Edmundston, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mireille, a brother, Ronald and a sister, Verna.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 24th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Cemetery.
