At the Grand Falls General Hospital, January 28, 2018, Mrs. Peggy Rideout of Drummond passed away at the age of 65 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Michael Rideout. Born at Montreal in 1952, she was the daughter of Thelma Claire (Price) and the late Sterling Wallace Sanford.
Prior to her retirement, Peggy worked 35 years for the Government of Canada, most of those years with the Canada Border Services Agency.
She is survived by her husband Michael, her mother Claire Sanford of Bloomfield, Kings County, her daughter, Claire (Griffin Broad), sons, Dwayne (Mylène), Jake (Nathalie) and Jordan, grandchildren, Austin, Hudson, Jayden, Marilou, Tanyka, Tyson and Zoë, brothers John (Mary Jane) and Laurie (Mary Theresa), 24 nieces and nephews, special friends Pat and Sandy.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.
Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 1st at 2 p.m. with Father Stephen Harnish of the Anglican Church officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Grand Falls.
