Mr. Jean-Guy Lavoie of Grand Falls passed away at the family homestead in Saint-Andre on April 30, 2018 at the age of 59. Born at Saint-Andre in 1958, he was a son of the late Ovila and Anita (Pelletier) Lavoie.
He is survived by his two sons, Christian (Sunny Liu) of Toronto and Stephane (Melissa Reidpath) of Grand-Barachois, NB, five brothers, Gaetan (Jeanne d'Arc) of Saint-Andre, Morel (Therese) of Saint-Leonard, Albenie "Ben" (Jacqueline) and Donald (Marie-Therese) of Saint-Andre and Leo of Gatineau, Quebec, five sisters, Huguette Henderson (Gerry) of Frontier, Saskatchewan, Rolande Lavoie (friend Ken) of Vancouver, Jeannine Gagnon (Serge) of Saint-Andre, Jacqueline Zutter (Dave) of Fernie, BC and Aline Richard (Maurice) of Drummond, sister-in-law, Dorina Lavoie (late Gerard) of Saint-Andre, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gerard and Louis-Marie, two sisters, Odette and Guilda.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.
His funeral service will be held Friday, May 4th at 4 p.m. from the Saint-Andre Roman Catholic Church with interment in the Saint-Eloi Cemetery of Saint-Andre.
